The HIROX 3-D Difference

So-called vertical lighting is rarely exactly vertical. More often it is a "near-vertical" lighting that is spoken of. Co-axial lighting is light which passes parallel to the vertical axis of a mounted co-axial lens. The image captured with the lens from a perfectly flat, reflective sample is a true reflection of the light coming from the lens. Such lighting is ideal for checking the perfection of a flat or polished surface, such as the surface of a mirror, since scratches or other imperfections will appear as dark areas of low reflection. Co-axial lighting can also bring out otherwise unseen details in samples such as silicon wafers. We added co-axial side lighting capability to the bright-visual-field observable co-axial vertical lighting. This new function makes possible for you to observe three dimensionals shapes by emphasizing microscopic cracks and convex concaves that are visible under co-axial vertical lighting.
