Variable angle lighting adapter is the HIROX's
original signature adapter. it allows the user to freely alter the angle of
lighting from the normal vertical lighting to side lighting. There are many
examples of samples which are difficult to properly image unless the angle
of lighting is exactly correct. In cases of high reflection, difficult to
see areas can be improved by changing the angle of the lighting to reduce
the reflection. Of course by looking at a person's skin with vertical
lighting, the actual surface of the skin can be clearly seen.  However, applying
side lighting cause the light to pass through the transparent surface of
the skin, and can actually make visible the capillaries below the surface of
the skin. Therefore an inspector can vary the angle of lighting to
appropriately match the most desired angle for a given sample.
