Using The HIROX/FMP Imaging and Harvesting
These application notes describe the use of the HIROX/FMP imaging
and harvesting Digital 3D microscope with either 24, 96, 384, 1536 or other
crystalization plates.
1
First, scan or enter plate information with the system. Insert
plate onto plate specific holder.
2
Load plate with sample to be harvested onto automated XY stage. If
sample is a cover slip, load coverslip onto special cover slip transporter.
If well is covered, uncover it.
3
Enter well # (A1, B43, etc.) into software.
4
System moves plate to proper well # location.
5
Without rotationg lens adapter, view content of well. If possible,
remove crystal, freeze and recover well.
6
If crystal position is difficult to see or work with, remove the
plate and install rotating adapter (Item# AD-5040RLS25, AD-5040RLS45,
AD-5040RVS).
7
Reload the plate as in step (2-4) above.
8
Re-focus and adjust rotating lens position until best view is
achieved of the crystal.
9
Remove crystal, freeze and replace coverslip.
Notes: This system works under 0°C- 40 °C,
25%-85% humidity.
