Using the AUX port in KH-3000 main unit, auto features such as
auto focus and, height measurement can be added to the system. These
features can be combined with other automated features such as auto xy stage and auto zoom.

CT-7 is a controller for 2 axis
such as XY/YZ/XZ stage. For additional functionalit,
CT-7 can be interconnected. This will allow automation of X-Y-Z axis stage
and auto zoom or auto rotary(ex.MX-5040RZ)
features. Two or more axis are controlled by
either CT-7 or computer which is fully programable.
With the optional LCD display(CT7S-LD)attached to
CT-7, height measurement is easily accomplished either manually or
automated with auto focus feature. The combination of CT-7 and KH-3000
expand the additional capabilites to higher
levels of automation.

KH-3000 integrates a feature that indicates the focus contrast by
a bar graph. The focus indicator is shown below. This feature can be
combined with CT-7 (2 axis controller) and ST-HZ (auto z axis focus block)
to provide automatic focusing of the image. The focused image is defined as
the higher contrast image. The high contrast area in the image can be set
manually. From this setting, contrast is shown as number or relative
position on the bar graph . This calculation is
reflected by the auto z axis movement (up and down movement of lens). When
the highest contrast in the indicated area is achieved, auto z axis
movement will stop and the image will be in sharp focus.
