You can connect the KH-3000 to various equipment such as PCs or LAN, and
create a comfortable and efficient observation environment. For example,
captured images can be sent directly to a printer, shared among colleagues
immediately via a LAN, or sent to external individuals directly through
E-mail from the KH-3000.

The USB2.0 port is available for PC interface. It
enables easy USB connection and a high-speed data transmission of 480Mbps
much higher than the older USB1.1 . This additional spped means that live
images can be quickly and continuously captured. A choice of two USB
modes provides you with added convenience.

This mode enables you to capture images directly
in your PC through twain driver. Any TWAIN32 compatible software can
capture images directly so that you can continue your operations. It is
very convenient!

This mode let your PC recognize the CompactFlash
memory card in KH-3000 as a external HD. You can export all images in a
memory card quickly to your PC without inserting or removing the
CompactFlash card.

You can open images taken by KH-3000 on a network by setting up
Web Server on.

|
|
High speed LAN is supported. Any PC within the
LAN can view and store the images from the KH-3000. Since popular
browsers like Internet Explorer can be used without special software, you
can commence processing immediately following connection.

The CompactFlashä memory card is used for the storage
of images, measurements and other data. The current maximum capacity of
1GB meets the storage requirement this era of super-high quality images
demands. Moreover, the same shape Ultra CompactFlash and MicroDrive also
can be used. File format of the image file is either TIFF or JPEG.

You can record images continuously
without further intervention by pressing the start button, after
initially setting the interval and recording sheet numbers. It is a
convenient tool to record shape changes securely within a fixed interval
of time.

This function provides you with
automatic recognition of both object extremities by simply clicking on a
portion to measure the width, after specifying the direction to measure,
i.e., horizontal, vertical or varying angles. Anyone can obtain
consistent measures without individual differences.

(Extended depth of field)
|
|
When observing non-flat samples at relatively higher
magnification, the limited depth of field will mean that only a portion of
the field will be in focus at any single time. Now the KH 3000 has a new
capability that takes images from different focal planes and digitally
merges them into single image with extended depth of focus. This can be
done manually by taking multiple images manually at different focal planes
and merging them or automatically by setting upper and lower focal plane
limits and specifying the number of images you want to capture in between
these limits. The automatic operation requires auto z-axis focus block. For

The KH-3000, using an auto-edge detect procedure automatically
detects calibration marks. A custom glass calibration scale is included
with the system. It frees you from tiresome tasks, and minimizes the human
errors. The scales cover the calibration ranges from low to high
magnification
